Hi Everyone!

Today I want to tell you all about the website Girl Defined! My Mom found this site and had me check it out and I love it! It is a blog about modesty, purity, God, and anything else christian girl related! I really recommend hopping over and checking out their blog posts. Their articles are very inspiring! They also talk a lot about waiting for your future husband which I think is awesome!

I recently read their eBook Project Modesty and thoroughly enjoyed it! It made me think more about how modesty is important.
It also talks about how God clothed Adam and Eve with an animals skin after they sinned so that they would be covered.
It makes you not want to wear any clothes that have cleavage or wear really short shorts/skirts/dresses if God meant those parts of our body to be unseen huh?
They also talked about how modesty starts in the heart and overflows into your clothing choices.
I also
liked that they had some Christian guy's point of views on how they appreciated when girls dressed modestly and why they thought it was important.
They had so much more things modesty related in this book but these were my favorite parts.
It was a fantastic book and I definitely recommend it!

God Bless!

<![CDATA[Be You!]]>Mon, 03 Nov 2014 03:50:59 GMThttp://daughterofthehighkingofkings.weebly.com/bible-talk/be-you
I see so many girls discouraged and upset that they don't have what society calls a "Perfect Body" or they don't have the "Popular" clothing.

It is really upsetting for me because God doesn't think you should be like everyone else. He wants you to be unique! If he wanted us all to be the same he would make us all the same. Wouldn't that be boring?

So what if you don't have the most popular clothing?

So what if you have some curves?

God made you special! He says that we are far above rubies meaning we are priceless.
Anyone who says otherwise should be ashamed for saying so.

Being yourself is very important because you are being just as God intended for you to be.

As for the "Popular" clothing, most of it is really immodest. I mean how much shorter are they going to get with those mini shorts? You might as well be wearing your underwear.

You will also attract attention from guys for the wrong reasons when wearing immodest clothing.

God made your body for your spouse's eyes only.

And when the time comes you want the guy to like you for your personality, not for how appealing your body is.

No matter what be yourself! Don't let others morph you into something you aren't.

Remember we are setting an example for others and the younger generation.

God will always love you, he will always think you are awesome so go on and shine!

God Bless!

<![CDATA[Feeling Discouraged.]]>Sat, 14 Jun 2014 20:10:56 GMThttp://daughterofthehighkingofkings.weebly.com/bible-talk/feeling-discouraged
We all have been discouraged at some point in our lives and sometimes still do. But we should never be discouraged, because our Lord God will help us! If we fail the first time we shouldn't give up. Psalm 121:1-2 says:

"I look up to the hills. But where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord. He made heaven and earth."

and John 14:1 also tells us:

"Jesus said, "Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God. And trust in me."

This proves we shouldn't ever be discouraged or afraid to do something! God will help us along the way. And we will reach our goal eventually!
God Bless!

<![CDATA[Fear.]]>Sat, 14 Jun 2014 01:21:20 GMThttp://daughterofthehighkingofkings.weebly.com/bible-talk/fear

There were times where I was deathly afraid of the dark and demons. But I looked through my Bible and found a couple verses that helped me understand that God will never leave my side and our Guardian Angels are with us always.
Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us:
"Be strong and brave. Don't be afraid of them. Don't be frightened, The Lord your God will go with you. He will not leave you or forget you."
This verse is one of my favorites! Some verses mean different things to different people. In my case while I was afraid of demons and the dark, the words "Don't be afraid of them. Don't be frightened The Lord your God will go with you." spoke to me much more than some others verses I read. Psalm 91 is one of the best verses ever in my opinion.
It says:

"Those who go to God Most High for safety will be protected by God All-Powerful. I will say to The Lord, "You are my place of safety and protection. You are my God, and I trust you." God will save you from hidden traps and from deadly diseases. He will protect you like a bird spreading its wings over its young. His truth will be like your armor and shield. You will not fear any danger by night or an arrow during the day. You will not be afraid of diseases that come in the dark or sickness that strikes at noon. At your side 1,000 people may die, or even 10,000 right beside you. But you will not be hurt. You will only watch what happens. You will see the wicked punished. The Lord is your protection. You have made God Most High your place of safety. Nothing bad will happen to you. No disaster will come to your home. He has put his angels in charge of you. They will watch over you wherever you go. They will catch you with their hands. And you will not hit your foot on a rock. You will walk on lions and cobras. You will step on strong lions and snakes. The Lord says, "if someone loves me, I will save him. I will protect those who know me. They will call to me and I will answer them. I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue them and honor them. I will give them a long full life. They will see how I can save."

My sister and I memorized Psalm 91 so we can recite it whenever we feel scared and don't have a Bible around or wake up from a horrible dream so we can just say it in our head. It's also nice to read aloud before you go to sleep at night.
Great verses to read when feeling scared:
Psalm 91, Deuteronomy 31:6, Psalm 27:1, 2 Timothy 1:7, 1 Peter 1:7
