Hey all my lovely peeps!
So I am going to make a plushie tutorial very soon and one of the stitches you will need is a blanket stitch. So I decided to make a tutorial on how to do it in case you didn't happen to know how.

So I am going to make a plushie tutorial very soon and one of the stitches you will need is a blanket stitch. So I decided to make a tutorial on how to do it in case you didn't happen to know how.
1. Get your pieces of felt (or other fabric you are using) and put them together like this
2. Get your needle and thread and poke through the inside of one of the pieces of felt. (Don't forget to knot the end of the thread!)
3. Before you pull your thread all the way through remember to lock your stitch! Do that by putting your needle in between the two pieces of thread like in this picture. This way you don't have to make such a huge knot in the end! Then pull it through!
4. Next poke a hole in the felt closest to you and into the other piece of felt.
5. Before you pull your thread tight slip your needle through the loop and pull snugly.
6. Move down the side of the felt a little bit and poke your needle through both pieces of felt.
7. Before you pull the thread tight slip your needle through the loop your thread has made and pull until snug.
8. And that's it! Just keep repeating these steps over and over until you get your fabric all sewn up!
Thank you for reading! I hope you learned a thing or two about how to sew the blanket stitch today! Comment what you thought of this tutorial! Do you have any ideas on how I could improve on these tutorials I have been making? I love to hear from you guys so feel free to comment!!!!
